When I saw your avatar, my first inclination was that you were here to amend some climatological data I had posted...but nice to see you. :)

On a slow wx day

A 240 FLOW WILL LIKELY KEEP THIS BAND OF SNOW NEARLY STATIONARY
THROUGH THE MORNING HOURS...WITH JUST SOME MINOR (FEW MILES) OF
WIGGLES NORTH AND SOUTH. EXPECT THE HEAVIEST SNOW ACCUMULATIONS TO
FALL JUST TO THE SOUTH OF ROUTE 33 THROUGH THE EARLY AFTERNOON
HOURS. BASED ON REPORTS THIS MORNING OF SOME AREAS FROM SOUTH
BUFFALO TO LANCASTER OF NEAR 40 INCHES ALREADY
AND THE FACT THAT THE
BAND WILL NOT MOVE MUCH THROUGH LATE AFTERNOON...WE HAVE INCREASED
STORM TOTALS TO AROUND 70 INCHES IN THE HARDEST HIT AREAS.

After spending the better part of the day in the LE thread I am not sure anything I see for a while will remotely make me excited .

A few of those guys are going to break their 1 day and 1 week accumulation records . Just insane .

I wonder how happy they will be when roofs start collapsing from the weight...

They are lucky its a light snow very little W content . They are good at dealing with 150 plus inches a yr - so they clear their stuff well .

I would take a partial cave in for 100 inches

Someone in the New England forum estimated it to be somewhere around 25:1 ratios based on reports from melting it down, so at 50" you're still talking around 2" of water. Yes, I know they are good at handling it out there so the results won't be anywhere near as bad as they would be out here.
