HoarfrostHubb
Your best bet is usually with the larger cities. Other than that you're relying on a stumbling upon diaries of weather weenie founding fathers. The records from Portland are from Lemuel Moody who kept fairly detailed records of conditions during that early part of the 1800s. Where did you dig that up? Very cool Someday, a future wx historian will come across bits of CT Blizz battling Coastal and ORH about a drought or fake nado...

SJonesWX
Color has really shown up here starting about seven days ago. Started most noticeably in the swampy areas that surround Harold Parker Forest. Which is a beautiful place by the way.. Pattern is very dry in the long term in terms of precip and humidity/dewpoint. Look out for brush fires depending on wind, and length of the pattern. I remember some large fires in the past few years with these nw flow warm days when it gets gusty. OT: I found out Friday after meeting with a spinal specialist in Boston that my football career is over. Mentioned it in banter in detail a few weeks ago. Spinal fusion surgery October 14th. c5/c6 large central disc herniation compressing the spinal cord. Some minor disc protrusion at c6/c7. Disc degeneration from c3-7. Weakness, numbness, pain down both arms, has been migrating down my back and legs in the past week or so... Can't wait to get in there and get this off my nerves in my neck. They are going to go in and remove c5/6 and put bone in between where the disc was and hold it in with a plate and rods. Hopefully my neck curve comes back as my neck spine is collapsing forward. that sucks Jay, but hopefully they can get your neck/nerve issues straightened out (no pun intended). i am dealing with some neck and nerve issues myself, but doc has me waiting for surgery until the pain gets more severe. not playing football is going to be a tough adjustment for you, as it has been a huge part of your life. it might take time, but you will get past it. good luck man

CoastalWx
The guy is just a winner. He may not be the greatest at his position, but he did it right and he's just a winner. Part of the old dynasty group in the late 90s that did it right.

Chilly and nice morning today here in the rival city. Tired of hearing about it 24/7. Granted I'm not a Yankees fan and I do respect the guy and tip my cap to him, but enough's enough, anywho, sharp northern cutoff of the QPF shield on models...GFS has 1-2 inches for LI and S CT with nothing 50 miles north of there...LOL
CT Rain
Yeah I don't know. The trend has been north. Yeah - it's been a pretty dramatic tick north. If this was winter you know who would be locking in 6-12... and letting us know of course that could go up.

CoastalWx
With that High? Yeah. I mean I'd probably compromise with the Euro and GFS for now. Euro really gets nothing past south coast but it certainly shifted north. I'd still side with nothing much past PYM-PVD..but we'll see what today brings.
