CoastalWx
Muddled ended up winning it would seem. You take posts way too literally. It's to the point where you have to be careful of your wording when you post. I don't know if you're kidding or serious half the time.

CoastalWx
I just take all posts as gospel Seriously though. I'm honestly trying to be careful of my wording because it seems to get taken out of context. I don't think anything was concrete in that post about a cold start to October. Models change and will always change over 2 weeks out.

The best was the post Will linked back in the winter disco thread. Kevin was the only one being delusional, but I think that is his denial kicking in. I'm not thinking this is a torch winter at all. Actually quite the opposite. Before fully pulling the trigger though..I have to see how snow cover in Canada looks in October. That is the key to a great winter for us

Snow in Canada progressing through October may be less important than Siberia.

OceanStWx
MWN with its first straight up snow obs of the season I think. Glad I nailed that one a few days ago. tamarack
Doubt we got a tenth at my place. Total in the month-plus since the 8/13-14 downpour is 1.1". Fine with me - the garden probably finsihes gtting killed later this week, and folks in the logging business could use a few more weeks before fall mud season begins. dendrite
Snow at 34/34 would be rain here lolThey rarely report SN with a temp of over 32F there. That said 34F, but it was actually barely 33F. Just a rounding issue with the METAR.I know you were being tongue-in-cheek though.
