Ginx snewx
Yep. Looks like rather zonal flow with GOAk trough. Typical boring month.I guess if 75 is considered warm,
Damage In Tolland
Yep. Looks like rather zonal flow with GOAk trough. Typical boring month. We didn't have that at all last fall. Hopefully just a temporary feature in GOA, but not what you wanted to see heading into cool season. Nevertheless it is concerning

Hopefully just a temporary feature in GOA, but not what you wanted to see heading into cool season. Nevertheless it is concerning We had numerous complaints in September last year about the GOA vortex...all worried that it would stick around. It switched around at some point in October. dryslot
Thered be 80 +in here after the 20th I don't see it that way at all really, Even looking at the GFS i see 70's and if its is 80 its not mid 80's plus i don't find that very unusual at all if we do hit an 80F day
IsentropicLift
I would kill just to get some interesting weather in here. Whether it be record breaking warmth, cold, rain or snow, just something to break this horrid pattern of blah.

Ginx snewx
I think October was above and September barely below.there was panic and gloating posts right up until Nov 6th when the real pattern began to show its face, warministas were not heard from again until well I guess the first week of June. ORH_wxman
I think October was above and September barely below. October was a torch...esp the first half. The huge EPO ridge started establishing itself later that month and was full fledged by late November into December. The GOA vortex started breaking down in early Oct last year but it took a few weeks to really cycle.
Ginx snewx
The Nov 1st posts last year were great, full on panic mode by some.

BDL's sept. avg high is 75. We still have a ways to go before 80 even registers a +10. No one's going to complain about sun and high 40s by night and high 70s by day. TalcottWx
I could see a pattern shift around the 25th. Perhaps something a little warmer than average.
TalcottWx
Most impressive thing about the upcoming pattern looks to be the lack of any humidity at all. 6z GFS ensembles were really active in the tropics.
