nwburbschaser
I always find it amazing that we have days such as Sunday that get some hype and totally bust, but then a beauty like that pops up on a day that was somewhat overlooked. The Basehunters guys really get some great shots, Brett had a good one today as well.
bdgwx
I have to admit that I underestimated yesterday. Here are a couple of screen captures from two supercells in MO. The first was the supercell northwest of Springfield which had a nice hook and fan out shape. The second was a supercell near St. Louis that had a suspiciously low CC value underneath the mesocyclone.
JoMo
Had a little baby 'bookend' form over Joplin last night. I'm surprised Springfield didn't issue a tornado warning on it, but I guess they knew it was probably elevated. Looks like it produced a swath of 75 MPH winds just to the south of the track. Blew a couple campers over at a campground and caused a few injuries.

bdgwx
An EF-1 is also confirmed southwest of St. Louis. I count 0 on Sunday and 8 on Monday. Also, Oklahoma still only has 11 all year.
JoMo
Now up to 3 tornadoes to the south of Joplin... 2 EF-1's (94 MPH) and an EF-0 (70 MPH)
