SACRUS
The Newark we've all grown to love over the years has finally returned, welcome back buddy. Breaking 90F before the noon-hour, above most stations by 3-4 degrees. Should be able to fry eggs on the terminal if anyone's headed over there later. 89 in New Brunswick / 88 here
Isotherm
89 in New Brunswick / 88 here Your area - Middlesex County/New Brunswick tends to be one of the hot spots in NJ along with EWR. I'm up to 86.5F here. I need 94.2F to break my high of 94.1F from July 8th this season.

SACRUS
We'll see how warm we can get tomorrow but if the warmer spots reach 90 it may reach 90 Thu and higher chances Friday into Saturday. Making up for lost days in late July/ August. Those undercutting systems and easterly flow the week of the 18th ruined what might have been an impressive 3 to 4 week warm spell. But looking ahead Sun - Tue (9/7 - 9/9) look near normal before more warming on/around the 10th. As others noted more difficult to achieve 90s but should it remain dry we may have more shots at 90 later next week if the ridge builds in as modeled between the 10th and 13th. Even further ahead temps cool around mid month before heights rebuild on the latest ecm/gfs and ensembles.

IsentropicLift
The weekend looks pretty crappy on the 12z GFS. The 00z ECMWF is dryer for Saturday and thus wetter for Sunday. The GFS stalls the front right along the coast with weak waves riding up the coast. The 00z GGEM moves the front through on Saturday and we salvage Sunday. Of special interest is Jets/Raiders Sunday at 1PM.

bluewave
The 91 at NYC is interesting since it matches the summer high so far. I wonder if Uncle has the latest summer high temperatures at NYC? It must have been a while since the highest summer temperature occurred in September.
