TimChgo9
Wow, radar just blew up to my west. Looks like I might get stormed on after all. Down to 78 after the first storm passed. Wind is turning to the west.
Geos
Been really dark with low ceilings here in Racine for awhile, but no rain. I noticed at home though, it stormed pretty good! 70°/63° in town.
TimChgo9
First set of storms may have missed, but this one is not. Heavy rain right now, dark skies and plenty of wind. 78, Wind is NNW right now, gusting a bit to say 20-25? Rain is slapping the windows.

Hopefully we can get on some storm action around here before too long.Impressive stuff with that bow echo that just came ashore Lake Michigan. Thunder Road
We also peaked at 89.8℉. Officially Howell hit 90, but we know it technically didn't. Lansing will go the whole year without hitting 90℉. I think it's only the 5th or 6th time that has happened since 1880. 89.8 is 90 is 90.
Thunder Road
I'm curious to see how effectively the gusts are mixing down in the SVR-warned storm over Plainfield, since it's in an environment that's somewhat worked over from the earlier storm. We should find out any minute now as it looks like it will pass right over the Lockport ASOS.

We didnt get touched by the first line here in bolingbrook, yet we still didnt get a gust over 25 here at my local with the recent line...Mixing might have been hindered by the outflow from the first line as it swept overhead as the current line came over
cyclone77
Tale of two seasons here today. Was warm and very muggy through early afternoon. Made it to 83. Saw the towers take off to the east early afternoon that would go on to hit northeast IL. Temps tanked by mid afternoon, and with it came a noticeable drop in humidity. Dews tanked from the low 70s into the 50s. Picked up almost 0.30" with this line that just came through. Temp now down to 60. Definitely feels like fall out there now. stormtrackertf
It's been above 90ºF at KDET for over six consecutive hours now. Also impressively, the heat index has been 95ºF+ for seven hours and 100ºF+ for three. Putting that into consideration, probably the "hottest" day of the year so far and it's in September.Slightly less impressively in the 'burbs at DTW, you can shave an hour off of each streak. wisconsinwx
It's been the worst clump for storms here since early August, considering how often others in the region have been hit.
