^Nice pics Josh, Geos, and weatherbo

Fantastic stretch of weather continues.  From a weather enthusiast perspective it's not overly exciting, but this time of year is always pretty benign.  Won't be long and we'll be tracking strong cooler season storm systems again.

Shot this earlier this eve of the wind turbine on the south side of town.

Fantastic pic, as always.

Eagerly awaiting the pictures this winter of your monster snowstorm. That 6" drought has to end.

Had a bit more fog this morning. Right around 49-50° this morning for a low. Very consistent with being in the 65-70° and lows between 45-50° all the week.

My paper birch trees are dropping leaves left and right now. Probably have to rake up underneath them by next weekend.

Eerie silence in the skies reminisent of another time in our past.

Sun feels very warm today with only a hint of a breeze every now and then

Yeah it has been odd today because of that incident. Crazy situation.

Very nice out today. September is going to end off as a snoozer though! haha

Right around 70° like yesterday again.

Awesome wind turbine shot Cyclone!

Few photos of the high cirrus clouds drifting in during the late afternoon.

Nice. Gorgeous images. Got to love the thin and wispy.  Have to drink all this in now. I can feel the days and weeks long of solid dull grey stratus that comes with winter will soon be knocking on the door.

Thanks Bo and Bowtie!

There's definitely cloudier days ahead for us. Very rare that the region gets multiple mostly sunny days in a row beyond October.

Today looks exactly the same as yesterday. Morning low was higher though at 52°.

High of 71° here today, but it was warmer inland where I was southwest of Milwaukee today.

More great Cirrus clouds passing by today.

^Nice shots Geos.

Absolutely perfect night for a bonfire.  Saw some combines out the last few days harvesting already.  Seems a bit early to me for some reason, but it looks like the crops have dried out pretty quickly over the last 10 days or so.

Shot these silos on the north side of town out by I-88 a little while ago.

wow that doesn't even look real.  Almost like a painting! Beautiful colors

One more Summer like day with a record high in the 70's and then only mid 40's for a high tomorrow.  Rain likely will take a lot of the leaves down.

Meanwhile, down here in the tropics of Indiana, we should stay in the 70's, maybe even hitting 80 again on Thursday, before the bottom drops out.

So what's going on with LOT's radar right now? Is it just extreme inversion of the radar beam or something because of the temperature profile aloft? It seems quite a bit more pronounced than usual.

attachicon.gifWUNIDS_map.gif

DTX's radar has been somewhat similiar over the past few days.

I would assume it has something to do with the reason you stated. Dewpoints at the surface have been running in the 55-60 degree range over the past week every day, despite all of the dry air aloft...
