cyclone77
nice double barrel late evening visible That's a sweet sat pic. You can really see the vorticity in that band up there. Wimpy little cell passed just north shortly after sunset. Was just strong enough to puke out a few bolts up in the anvil region. Didn't see a single CG lol. Was still nice to get an evening lightning op again though. First one since June 30th.

LAF was at 1.40" of rain and counting tonight, as of 12:10am. Probably more here at my place...small ponds have formed in the yard.

wisconsinwx
Awesome awesome storm here. Lots of wind surprisingly Yep, winds were impressive here too when the line blew through here just under an hour ago. The airport had two garden variety storms though in less than three hours time. CTWeatherFan
Severe T'storm Watch in effect until 11 PM here... The U of M game was cancelled as a result of the t'storms, with 7 minutes left. My friends and I left the stadium about 45 minutes after the rain delay started. Miserable experience. hawkeye_wx
The cloud shield on the backside of this system is more robust than expected around here. They may break up a bit later, but for now we're stuck in the upper 50s so it's pretty cool. I'll have to dress up to do the mowing.
Geos
Great picture Bo! Can't wait for color like that to start showing. A little dark, but here is one of the early Maples turning in Kenosha. Cool day, only about 60° for a daytime high - mainly cloudy with some sprinkles. Was it even warned? I was watching the storms this morning but when they broke up just to my west and scooted on north, I took my eye off of things. Geos
All the way down to 41° this morning. Heavy dew was over everything. Very nice second pictures, Bo! daddylonglegs
The mosquitoes are probably the worst i've seen all year and that is saying a lot. Amazingly bad. Can hardly take the kids out without being swarmed. Nice day...slow warm up... Really hope I don't need to turn on the AC again this year, but late week looks iffy. Hope for some clouds. I'm surprised to hear the mosquitoes. Around here they were fewer than normal the whole summer. I know some people that were in central and northern WI and none of them said the mosquitoes were especially bad. I guess the mosquitoes know their time is almost up and they're going out with a bang by you! Perfect early Autumn day today - complete sunshine and 66° for a high. Geos
They were as bad as I have ever seen in RFD this summer. They disappeared last week though, have only seen a few since. Maybe in this area it has something to do with the cooler air near the lake or something, because there is plenty of mosquito habitat around the neighborhood... Down to 46° this morning. We start our days now with < 12 hours of daylight.
OHweather
Made it into the 30's for the first time in my tiny corner of SE Ohio this morning...hit 36 on campus. I peaked out my window at 8AM and didn't see any front, oh well, maybe next time. This upcoming ridging ensures I spend more of my time doing school work, but we really need rain here. PKB has gotten 0.75" of rain in September.
wisconsinwx
Temps have shot up in MKE the last two days for whatever reason (perhaps the recent dry weather) compared to Chicago. Up to 69F already vs 62F at ORD.
