* AT 1228 PM CDT...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS LOCATED NEAR BEAVER
CITY...AND MOVING EAST AT 15 MPH.

HAZARD...60 MPH WIND GUSTS AND QUARTER SIZE HAIL.

SOURCE...RADAR INDICATED.

IMPACT...HAIL DAMAGE TO VEHICLES IS EXPECTED. EXPECT WIND DAMAGE TO
ROOFS...SIDING AND TREES.

* THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WILL BE NEAR...
BROOK AROUND 1240 PM CDT.
FORESMAN AROUND 1250 PM CDT.
PERCY JUNCTION AROUND 1255 PM CDT.

I'll second Alek's comments that the grass has been lush green all summer.  Very surprising for late August down here in central IN.  Of course Indpls just had their first 90 degree day the other day.  But I look at this oncoming line of storms with svr warnings and think that even if a watch is not posted due to relatively low wind shear I may have a gullywasher with lots of cg's coming for the Indy metro a little later today.

It took til late August, but we finally had a summer day that pleased you in 2014 :lol:

 

There have been several warm/humid days and numerous days with widespread severe weather/flooding, but yeah, this is the first day where we went from extreme heat & sunny skies to severe weather...
