LizardMafia
Crappy shot I took from the golf course (about 30 miles south of LAF) at around 6:30pm...looking north towards the storms in the LAF. Geos
Been pouring buckets and lightning here in Racine. Very dark outside. Probably 30-35 mph gusts blowing the rain around in sheets now.

wisconsinwx
Another MCS that peaks just south of here, but this was as anticipated. Extended looks wet on GFS Ensembles, extremely so, but what is new? August should end up with well above normal precipitation.
Indystorm
I'll second Alek's comments that the grass has been lush green all summer. Very surprising for late August down here in central IN. Of course Indpls just had their first 90 degree day the other day. But I look at this oncoming line of storms with svr warnings and think that even if a watch is not posted due to relatively low wind shear I may have a gullywasher with lots of cg's coming for the Indy metro a little later today. Hoosier
Some fairly healthy storms to my north right now. Line may have to take on a bigger southeastward motion to make it in here.

Look how it is backbuilding to the west in IL. This line means business.

Indystorm
I originally had a forecast of only just 20% probs of rain for Tuesday. Love how things can change on a dime in weather.

Powerball
Pretty impressive lightning from that cell just east of Lansing (MI). Several strikes per second now.
Chinook
SPC put out a mesoscale discussion for IWX and DTX areas. Lansing/Howell/Ann Arbor now have a severe storm warning. There is pretty high reflectivity and VIL at East Lansing. I wouldn't be surprised by 60mph wind or pea-size hail there.
Indystorm
Regarding central IN, for lack of a cold pool the battle was lost. I expect more garden variety with some possible strong downbursts in spots.
hm8
Decent storm. Got dark enough for street lights to come on. Lotsa people caught outside.

Chinook
An isolated storm is happening in Detroit, and now it maxed out on VIL, with 62 dbz on composite reflectivity. That's got to be quite a bit of water at I-94 near downtown, perhaps 1 to 2" per hour.

Stebo
Was pretty crazy here at DTW, wind kicked up a ton of dust before the storm hit. We gusted to 49 mph here at the airport officially though it looks like the worst of the line passed just to my north.

Powerball
It took til late August, but we finally had a summer day that pleased you in 2014 There have been several warm/humid days and numerous days with widespread severe weather/flooding, but yeah, this is the first day where we went from extreme heat & sunny skies to severe weather...
