For anyone west of the Twin Forks it was very unremarkable.

Heavy rain with little wind. I remember it well even though it was a borefest. I also remember thinking while watching TWC that I've never seen a rain shield that big before (since I was 8 I actually probably thought "wow that's the most rain I've ever seen" while looking at the radar).

I was a few years younger at the time but no one I know really remembers it in terms of impact it had on Nassau County, and I don't remember any of it. The only places on Long Island it had real impacts on were the Twin Forks-the wind was especially worse on the east side of Bob, and consequently the surge. As it was a small, quick moving storm, the effects were not long lasting. It was like you said, a rainy and breezy day not unlike any other day we have even a minor coastal storm.

I remember a few trees down in my town. Other then that some heavy rain and the biggest shore break I have ever seen at jones beach to this day. I was young too but it's one of my strongest weather memories as a kid. I remember tracking it on the old tracking maps and being super excited.

I guess I wasn't old enough to care about waves then.

The waves here in Long Beach today were absolutely gorgeous from what I saw (I had to work :( )
