Violentweatherfan
It's a rough hobby chasing ice crystals that gets into peoples heads. 80" in two weeks and a 6-8" event becomes a massacre and a disappointment. Meanwhile red taggers are on the verge of blows in the mid-atlantic forum over an ECM run. Despite the argument, the topic was great. By the by, daytime storm for New England for the win. Voyager
You know the temperatures are brutal when you see THIS in your forecast... Monday Night: Mostly cloudy. A chance of light snow after midnight. Not as cold with lows around zero. West winds 5 to 10 mph...becoming southwest after midnight. Chance of snow 50 percent. Harbourton
Even though it is hard to estimate how much snow I received, wound up with an 18 inch drift that runs about 20 feet. Blizzard like conditions at times today without any snow falling.

KamuSnow
Picture of Kamu in the summer. Nice, he's got the same smile. Where is he/she in that pic? The squirrel in my avatar is a rescue squirrel (one of 4) my son found blown out of a nest after Irene in 2011. One of them didn't make it, but we raised the other 3 and released them here right after settlement for this place. There's more to the story, but it turned out to be an awesome experience all together. One detail was having a squirrel sitting on top of my monitor while I was working, eating a hickory nut. Pretty cool. They'd also hide them in my pocket, tamp it in there good, and come back later looking for it.

I'm kind of excited about tomorrow night, as long as we get what's forecast, it has the potential to be the largest snowfall here so far this season. Harbourton
We just can't a southern stream storm that really taps the GOM to take advantage of the cold air..Meaning one that dips near the GOM and climbs the coast. I am beginning to think that that type of track is very rare a la 1993 and 1996. Many be others but those stick out. I'll keep watching.
The Iceman
We just can't a southern stream storm that really taps the GOM to take advantage of the cold air.. with a +NAO/AO most likely it would be a rain storm as there's nothing to hold that cold air in place.
