Harbourton
What's the betting line on whether the 1st storm or the second has more snow. I'm going with #2.

RedSky
If DC gets an over performing clipper and a super clipper this month we have gone back in time to the 80's
RedSky
Been little mention of how cold early Feb looks. I wonder if we can do a 1979 Blizzard and have spring 3 days later like that year.

RedSky
Traumatized by hurricanes future radar that shows heavy rain for 8 hours until noon tomorrow all the way into southern Lehigh that would wash away what snow falls.

Harbourton
Earl baker's snow maps show 2 inches max for this area for both storms at 12 and 18Z not counting the rain melted snow. This year is just anti-snow. Then we freeze our a$$ off for a while.
RedSky
Faster start time should pay dividends to our snow totals.

RedSky
One of the few good years of the 80's if I remeber correctly? That is correct. 1987 brought 40" to my yard. 12" MECS in January and a 20" storm on 2/22 in Horsham that was suppose to be mostly rain, just 6" fell in Philly. RedSky
I like my huge digital snowstorms, half the fun of winter is the model runs. Even if it's a big 2001 like fail today is something to talk about for years to come. "Remember that biblical 12z euro run the morning after the over performing SECS, then 1" of snow later...lol"
RedSky
My gut says 12z ECM was a fluke for PA, it's a miller B going to be a central jersey&NE HECS, but damn what a fun run. 5-10" west to east is how this one feels to me.

RedSky
The last piece of northern energy was sampled properly for 12z and we have a big shift east on GFS and GGEM chances of a big event have slipped. Just give me my 3-6" topper on top of my 4" concrete. Cold is coming and another clipper it will be around for a long time.
