MN Transplant
Getting these little tropical showers popping up. Not a ton of rain, but up to 0.2" including the overnight stuff.
AlaskaETC
I have a feeling we will be saying that in December/January also. Why?
Bob Chill
Heh, lr ensembles are considering reloading the ec trough down the line. Very mixed signals. One thing is certain. First week of aug is going to put up some solid neg departures. What a great summer for those who don't like 90's.
dailylurker
Why?I just have this feeling the pattern will shift. Hopefully not.. I'm absolutely loving this year's weather. Could use some tropical/severe, but you can't get it all.

snownut
There is literally not a single cloud in the sky. Unbelievable. Sounds like your having an unusual summer back there. It has been way above normal since I moved west, yesterday's paper had a graph showing July 7.5 degrees above average! Two fun hail storms the past two days (have cool android phone video of Pub Cycles in hail storm) looking forward to having "normal" weather here. Cheers to all the MA regulars! nw baltimore wx
We got lucky overnight by getting some steady rain for several hours. I'm guessing about .25" but it's something. Hopefully this afternoon delivers.

dailylurker
That is hard to breathe shiz right there. OMG! What a hell hole. I just added Dubai to weather bug. 100 everyday, with dews 80-85. I always thought it was dry there.

Its dry in the sense that it doesn't rain much...which makes it even more hellish. Prolific heat and humidity with hardly any rain. Nice weather in the winter though. mappy
Steady mist most of the morning. Sun has tried to come out a few times recently.

mattie g
Anyone know where I can find a map that shows total precip over, say, the last few days? I'm curious to see how rain much the areas closer to the coast have gotten, especially in comparison to around here.

NinjaWarrior2
Definitely a difference between east and west, here in Bel Air it's been cloudy a with a high of 73 so far with occasional periods of drizzle, yet in Cumberland it is 86 with T-Storms near I-81. Btw GFS and GGEM both picked up on a Friday-Saturday event.

Kay
Mostly cloudy and still here, 75. One of those "timeless" days where 9 a.m. looks just like 11 looks just like 1, etc. Brightening occasionally, but only to a white glare. I hate white glare. EastCoast NPZ
Another day w/ hardly a cloud in the sky imby. Just came from the short drive Front Royal where at least it's partly-to-mostly cloudy. 86F, bright sun, and very uncomfortable here. Far cry from cloudy, rainy 70s that were forecasted. Extremely disappointing weekend weather.
Sparky
How the heck do I have 1.82" in my home rain gauge? I just got home and found it. I went to Bethany Beach DE on Friday afternoon and just arrived back home. It never even looked like anything west of the bay the whole time. Bethany Beach itself got heavy rain in the overnight hours both Friday and Saturday some of it heavy, days were mostly dry with occasional sprinkles there, but I never saw more than a weak return around home whenever I checked radar. WTF, not that I am compaining.....did storms come through this area over the last 3 hours?

There was some pretty isolated heavy (relatively slow moving) showers late Friday afternoon and evening, so who knows maybe you got one. That does seem like a lot of rain though. I would say in your area probably not much more than a quarter inch fell from early Sat until now based on radar estimates I have seen.

EastCoast NPZ
Bright sunshine, dark clouds to the north as usual for this summer. Only here could you be under the middle of a massive trough that stretches darn near to the GOM and still end up with a mostly sunny, above normal temperature day. smh.....
