THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN STERLING VIRGINIA HAS EXTENDED THE  

 

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR...  

SOUTHEASTERN MONTGOMERY COUNTY IN CENTRAL MARYLAND...  

SOUTHEASTERN HOWARD COUNTY IN CENTRAL MARYLAND...  

SOUTHERN BALTIMORE COUNTY IN NORTHERN MARYLAND...  

NORTH CENTRAL PRINCE GEORGES COUNTY IN CENTRAL MARYLAND...  

NORTHWESTERN ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY IN CENTRAL MARYLAND...  

BALTIMORE CITY IN NORTHERN MARYLAND...  

 

* UNTIL 645 PM EDT  

 

* AT 322 PM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED  

THE HEAVIEST RAIN HAD MOVED EAST...BUT STILL MODERATE TO  

OCCASIONALLY HEAVY RAIN WAS FALLING ACROSS HOWARD COUNTY INTO  

BALTIMORE CITY. THE REMAINING TORRENTIAL RAIN WILL AFFECT PORTIONS  

OF BALTIMORE CITY AND SOUTHEASTERN BALTIMORE COUNTY. 4 TO 6 INCHES  

OF RAIN HAS BEEN REPORTED...MAINLY FROM EAST OF COLUMBIA TO BWI  

AIRPORT TO ESSEX. ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF UP TO 1 INCH  

CAN BE EXPECTED...EXCEPT IN PORTIONS OF BALTIMORE CITY AND  

SOUTHEASTERN BALTIMORE COUNTY...WHERE UP TO THREE INCHES IS LIKELY.  

 

* SOME LOCATIONS THAT ARE AFFECTED BY THE HEAVY RAIN INCLUDE BWI  

AIRPORT...ADELPHI...ARBUTUS...BELTSVILLE...BLADENSBURG...BOWLEYS

Very impressive. So much for the .5 to an inch some were anticipating.

 

.75" for the event at my house.  I'll take it, but that sounds like about 1 hours worth of rain east of us.  I don't mind missing out on that much rain, I do mind, however, the sun being out most of the afternoon and hitting 80 degrees once again on a day forecasted to be in the 70s.

heavy cr@p starting again

had some water in the basement only because I was too lazy to clean the leaves out of my basement walkway, so it clogged the drain   :axe:

 

but I don't care....I know this means mby will be the bull's eye this winter     :weenie:

 

Been there, done that, still press my luck with leaves around the drain.
