Absolute Humidity
.71" so far. Could be a lot more if that Meso low over south Jersey hits here. LI looks to get destroyed.
NYC Weather Lover
That radar does look juiced up. Hopefully I'll be wrong (which I hope and think I am this time) and we get the rain, because LI needs it so bad. You can always count on these non-connective rainstorms to give us a good dumping. As far as any spin-ups, I don't see anything like that happening, but we'll see... Maybe a waterspout? BTW, did anybody else hear about that dust devil in brooklyn Sunday? Those are so rare and uncommon for our area.
Rjay
Pretty sick looking radar. The areas I highlighted earlier looked to get dumped on. http://weather.cod.edu/satrad/nexrad/index.php?type=DIX-N0Q-1-48 http://weather.cod.edu/satrad/nexrad/index.php?type=OKX-N0Q-1-

Eduardo
I'm in Lindenhurst about 1/2 mile from the water. It's not too often that a wind gust alone *manages to stir me from my sleep, but tonight is an exception. Not too sure where that measured, but it shook the whole house and I'm wide awake now! Guest Pamela
Hopefully tomorrow makes a dent in it but models are focusing more and more on NJ today, as usual. . same places will surely jackpot IMO west of NYC, NJ/W.PA up to LHV and SWCT northward Long Island wins again, as usual...and as I've stressed on these boards since time immemorial... Guest Pamela
Because it's the summer ... even your wet, beloved LI does consistently worse with precip than most other areas. With all due respect...and taking into account the fact that you are a red tagger...though you can surely offer me many lessons on synoptic meteorology...try not to offer me too many lessons on the climatology of the Eastern U.S.
Cfa
It's coming down quite hard, definitely the heaviest rain of the year so far. My phone received a loud Flash Flood Warning alert, which scared the hell out of me, it's only the 3rd time I've received a weather alert.
