Euro and other models have nothing for our area until after 8pm with most of it overnight into early morning.

Yeah, the heaviest falls between 11 PM and 2 AM per the NAM for NJ, and between 2 AM and 5 AM for NYC. It would be nice if people checked what the model output showed before calling bust.

BWI airport has blown past its rainfall record for the day, which was previously 4.91 inches in 1955. Today is now second wettest day on record at the airport, where 6.28 inches of rain has fallen as of 5 p.m.

Have a feeling eastern areas do a lot better than western areas this go around. Watch out ENJ, NYC and LI tonight and tomorrow morning.

Honestly, I think the opposite. Most model data seems to support the same old pattern. Storms die as they head over the ocean, leaving LI with less rain than western sections.  I think parts of NJ could see up to 3 inches, while most of LI fails to make the 1 inch mark. But I could be wrong...

The Nam is focusing the heavy rain eastnof the city overnight with only about a half inch western sections
