I  had snow early Nov several times, legit chances is what I wrote, of course not every year but you get more chances in early Nov and you are a part of SNE as it Mitch, Pete, Hunchie, Dendrite etc.then I do

No sense in bickering over a few days and the subjective idea of 'legitimate'.  I understand your point.

last 7 days

If only we can keep such departures from  11/1 - 4/30.  :)

Unbearable dews for August standards.

LOL.  I guess if you drop your Charmin on your freshly watered lawn, it might require a few more rolls.

73.4/59 off a high of 75.5

acts like a window fan but doesn't run the compressor, compressor is what costs money to run.

The highest our electric bill has been this summer was about $32 or so.  That's with 3 different A/C's.   During the winter/spring it was about $16.

I'm not sure though just how to run the fan on this...the fan automatically runs with the A/C I guess b/c for fan it just says hi/lo.

Lol....that's not why today.

It actually is partially rooted in that, Jerry.

I was musing this observation yesterday that what the last 3 or 4 days have seen is massive scaled "tucking" pattern.  Sat loops across that span can see the SW -NAO drill blasting all the way from D. Stright right into the NE U.S.  ...with SW flow in NW Ontario.  It's curling back SW in the lower troposphere, causing very anomalously large gap between lower level thickness and mid level heights.  Heights would support DMs in the mid 570s but we were in the upper 40s last night!

Now, ...powerful BD boundary cuts through the state of Georgia this late afternoon.  GEORGIA!  In August.... My CU motion toward the WSW so still yet we tuck, and that's a cooler regime in SE NE than it is for NW NE in August.

Unless you live above 8K in the Sierra...how in the hell can you live in CA?

I was there 15 years....tons of quakes. You deal.....

After a big quake you'd pick up the landline (this was before ubiquitous cell phones). If you got a dial tone, it wasn't so bad....lol.

Beautiful place, but no thanks....like I said unless you are in the Sierra. I was just in Napa 3 years ago and saw some landmarks that I remember really damaged from this.
