Hopefully some trees and branches down in places today and power issues for some

STRENGTHENING LOW LEVEL JET SOUTH OF NEW ENGLAND COUPLED WITH HEAVY
RAINFALL HAS RESULTED IN GUSTY SOUTHEAST WINDS UP TO 36 KT AT JFK
EARLY THIS MORNING. CONCERNED THAT AS THIS AREA OF HEAVY RAINFALL
OVERSPREADS SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND THIS MORNING AND IS ACCOMPANIED BY
A STRENGTHENING LOW LEVEL JET...COULD SEE WIND GUSTS UP TO 40 MPH.
GREATEST RISK FOR THIS WILL BE OVER NORTHEAST CT/RI AND INTO EASTERN
MA. THIS MAY BE SUFFICIENT TO BRING DOWN SOME TREE LIMBS/BRANCHES IN
THE STRONGEST WIND GUSTS.

It's actually tricking the HCA, because the dBZ values are too high for what is "expected" in rain.  Basically the radar is saying it is more likely hail and rain rather than plain rain because dBZs are 55+.

That's literally white out rains. Looks like OKX may have to move their cars to higher ground soon.

But it's weird how it's also building N..It's like it's trying to converge over a relatively narrow area

It's going to be one of those things where 50 miles north of that zone gets a nice soaking 1-3" and then near the WF/cstl front it's easily double. I wonder how that band continues to behave.

Definitely a little convergence zone there, very much like a coastal front in winter. Probably going to see a similar precip distribution, with a max along the coastal front and another in the SE upslope.
