OceanStWx
That's insane. Right along a WF too. Classic recipe for +RA. Woof, that's a cause for alarm anywhere.
OceanStWx
55 dBZ and ZDR is mostly in the 1-2 dB range. Those are some pretty small drops for the reflectivity you're seeing. A lot of small drops overwhelming the signal (tropical style rainfall).

Damage In Tolland
Hopefully some trees and branches down in places today and power issues for some STRENGTHENING LOW LEVEL JET SOUTH OF NEW ENGLAND COUPLED WITH HEAVYRAINFALL HAS RESULTED IN GUSTY SOUTHEAST WINDS UP TO 36 KT AT JFKEARLY THIS MORNING. CONCERNED THAT AS THIS AREA OF HEAVY RAINFALLOVERSPREADS SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND THIS MORNING AND IS ACCOMPANIED BYA STRENGTHENING LOW LEVEL JET...COULD SEE WIND GUSTS UP TO 40 MPH.GREATEST RISK FOR THIS WILL BE OVER NORTHEAST CT/RI AND INTO EASTERNMA. THIS MAY BE SUFFICIENT TO BRING DOWN SOME TREE LIMBS/BRANCHES INTHE STRONGEST WIND GUSTS.

OceanStWx
I was just gonna say...warm process type rain at its best. It's actually tricking the HCA, because the dBZ values are too high for what is "expected" in rain. Basically the radar is saying it is more likely hail and rain rather than plain rain because dBZs are 55+.

Damage In Tolland
RPM kind of expands that area to the north all the way up to ORH as the morning progresses. It kind of stretches it out and actually keeps a lot of it out of SE Ma

Probably going to see a similar precip distribution, with a max along the coastal front and another in the SE upslope.
