high risk
There are several high-res models this morning showing a huge batch of storms rolling across PA this evening and overnight and another cluster passing well to our southwest. The question is what forms in between, either a southern flank of the PA system or stuff forming out over the mountains and rolling east-northeast into the local area. The concept of DC metro getting completely shut out on this is not LOL-worthy. Lol at the HRRR. It doesn't even get precip. south of the MD/PA border. Shane M.
Ohio storms are starting to look healthy, with the tornado watch now issued. I think we have plenty of time to for heating, seems that most areas north of rt. 50 in MD are mostly sunny.

snowfan
Sheesh....he was so much better 15-20 years ago when he was still making the random appearance on weather world with Fred Gadomski and Paul Knight. He's gone so extreme in recent years....even more so since leaving AccuWX. Joe Bastardi. "Very concerned tonight Midnight -5 am for severe weather 100 miles either side of line DC to NYC. In his video he says high risk of tornadoes lol. This region is more like anti-tornado alley, and when one does spin up its not at 3 AM. He is entertaining I suppose, in a Rush Limbaugh sorta way. snowfan
Out of the area, but craven sigsvr numbers pushing 80,000 near the KY/TN border. That's pretty good. Starting to see some pockets above 40,000 in MD. Most places west of the bay and north of Rt 50 are above 30,000.
