CoastalWx
Had a pink hue to the rain shaft as the sun set behind the rain shaft and behind the Squam range. Pretty epic.

Connecticut Appleman
At least we got something, just under a quarter of an inch here out of this one. Not that it matter too much at this time of the year, but driving home from work all of the silage corn was all wilted.

Cyclone-68
Aside from that freakish hail event a couple of weeks ago, this has been the most boring summer for t-storms in my memory.
CoastalWx
We have had lightning twice in Duxbury this summer. Never close. Same here and less rain then you. Oh well. I'd rather get the shaft now then in winter.

Never has there been a summer like this...storms just cant past Worcester.Uhhhh.. I must disagree.. it happens almost the majority of every summer.just the way it is. We need sw to nw winds to get anything. At the same time that downslopes us. Anywhere se of HVN-TOL-ORH-LWM is just awful for severe storms. Our high shear days feature s winds that inhibit us from getting anything good. Takes a unique setup to produce.

Now my yard looks like death valley . I refuse to run the irrigation twice a day like my neighbors.
CoastalWx
Nah eastern MA and NE ma can do well too. Hell SE MA and the Cape have had a better tstm summer than most of us with the hail and wind a few weeks ago. It's the nature of convection. CoastalWx
What I was trying to say was it takes a hell of a lot more to line up for us for a good event than out west. Well that's true. The 90s and early 00s were dam good for us. We had some awesome events. Seems like the last several years overall were quieter.
weatherwiz
Sunday is kind of messy looking, particularly with meh lapse rates and some capping inversions aloft but could see a few strong to severe t'storms. Shear is pretty adequate.

weatherwiz
Sunday is capped and sunny all day in SNE. If there's a chance at storms it's Monday. Once again we may be too far east but looms like there will be some storms off to our west but they could work into SNE late in the day or maybe even see further development. Monday doesn't look really great...shear is pathetic and lapse rates might be worse (NAM is horrid) and there is a quite a bit of dry air aloft, in fact, depending on degree of mixing I wouldn't be shocked if dews ticked down a bit as the day progressed.
