Berks getting good rains, MPM ftw this am.

We've had some heavy rounds but the majority has just been steady moderate.

.26" so far this morning.  Probably near 3" since Wednesday?  No batteries in my monitor, ftpol (for the power outage loss).

Maybe a 60's for the high kind of Independence Day in GC?

Here's a video I shot of the evidence of the lightning strike out back.  There's a whole lot more of the tree that's missing than I've readily been able to find.  The tree is a cherry about 20" or so in diameter and it appears to have blown out close to the core of it--close to knocking it down. So, there's a lot of pieces that are mia.

.I think we may have had a few other strikes as well, so I'll scout around some more when it dries out.

This strike was serendipitously next to my log splitter.

If Blizz was measuring those cherry pieces they would be 20-30' long

LOL.  I'm eager to explore where the rest of it is.  There's a whole lot more that's missing than was visible.  Of course, it was raining when I was out there, so I didn't look too closely.  When we had a strike a couple years back, the pieces were strewn as far as 50' from the tree.

Radar sure looks like it. SE of 84 and mass pike jacks.

Drought buster enroute? 4"+ over SE areas

Congrats. (?)

84/60 this weekend might be as cool and dry as we get till late Aug? Perhaps

You won't hit 84 this weekend........or maybe I'm misreading your post?

Had the sun peek out a few minutes ago in the midst of the rain.  It was kind of like the scene in The Perfect Storm when they think they're going to be okay.  At least the rains let up for a bit.
