Damage In Tolland
Surprised you made the 50s. Fans blowing in mine. Nature's A/C. Last nite wasn't a radiating night. It was all CAA which is why valleys are warm
snowman21
Made it down to 64 here this morning, not bad, but not as nice as the NW hills this morning down around 50.

RUNNAWAYICEBERG
There is no place like new england. The midwest plains bore the crap out of me visually....just not picturesque like back home. Enjoy the weather it's the only weather you have. #homesick

CapturedNature
Wind was up all night and blowing now as well. I don't get into 50's with no Caa last nite HFD in the valley warmer I agree that you wouldn't probably get into the 50s without CAA but it was a radiating night. There are more valley locations than just the more urban HFD. BDL was cooler and had light winds all night (and they are wide open), CEF was 51°. Even places like TAN got down to 56° off a high in the upper 80s. Yes you benefited from CAA but it was one of those occasions where the valley's radiated as well. You asked about ORH and it looks like they got down to 55°.

tamarack
Nice radiating night. 51F here and 49F at CON. About 48 at my place - actually expected a bit lower, as it was down to 56 by 9 last night. 5th sub-50 morning this month; July avg is 7 and I think 7/2014 is done with under-50s, unless things cool off quickly after the Sun-Tues precip. dryslot
Spent the day on the rockpile today. Nothing like a mid 30s wind chill in July. Most of the day was either in or surrounded by clouds. Since they couldn't see any farther than the parking lot, visibility was 1/8SM and FG. Ceilings were around 5,000 feet, so we didn't have to get very far down the Auto Road before the views opened up. image(2).jpeg image.jpeg image(1).jpeg Lucky dawg

Yeah there's definitely some solid haze in the sky...it appears as though it would be mostly sunny right now but its like a white sky. There's certainly some haze on the visible satellite image...especially upstate NY into New England.
