Every court needs a jester I suppose, which may be why he's tolerated. But when the jester's main act is the whine of an ever hovering  mosquito...

It's more than tolerating, he is actively encouraged by many.  Count the number of posts about him and look at the sentiment of those posts when he takes a break.

People miss him when he's gone, it's kind of sweet.

nature's air conditioner, put that station just 1/2 mile inland pump it up it by 5. Often even on the other side of the dunes it's much hotter. Living right on the beach in SWRI for a while I never had AC, just fans but across the street was much hotter.

86/72F, High this year so far was 88.5F, Might have a shot over the next hour or two to match or exceed it

Sun disappearing here in AUG though the storms are still 50-60 miles to the north.  Think we've seen the high for the day, noted 86 up at the airport at both 1 and 2 PM, might have reached 1-2F above that, but down to 85 at 3, with TD 72 - gaggg!

various guidance has been signaling this for the last few days.  The period 8/1 - 8/6 looks warm and very humid.

Can't say this is too surprising. GL tough = south flow on East coast

In Lake George, NY. Car thermometer hit 99 on the way from the lake to the campground we are staying at, 91 at the campground itself. Got so awful at one point that even my 10 year old son suggested leaving poolside nag going to the movies for the AC. Temps dropped pretty quick as he front moved through. Went from 90 > 75?in about 20 minutes.

This summer hasn't been bad at all...in fact, it has been a pretty breezy summer...just feels like we have had more wind than previous summers.

Without a doubt...I fish for a living and have not seen more SW wind then this summer, crazy.

know what your saying, the station is away from the immidiate waterfront so its at a spot thats as warm as it gets on the island - we have had onshore winds all summer. usually we get a couple of days that downslope or no wind and then we roast.  i still use my AC to get the humidity out of the house not because of high temps - easy to do with central. no rain in the bucket last night.
