powderfreak
June was also the 352nd above average month in a row. Now that's a crazy streak even LL would be proud of. That is a solid streak, beats when LL would say BDR had its 5th above month in a row. Try 352 haha.

Yeah, it's easy to keep a streak going when you can manipulate the data. Kind of like when some people measure snow with rubber rulers.
powderfreak
The issue is that the weather is boring in general during the warm months. To make the discussion more lively there's this tendency to start making ridiculous statements (be it wishcasting or what not) to stir the pot from both sides of the spectrum...people come to a forum to discuss stuff. If there's nothing to discuss, they find ways to keep the discussion going....and every summer that manifests itself as this warm/cold couplet. Is the summer dangerously humid or is it the most pleasant summer of your life? Its gotta sound exciting, it can't just be "summer."

In the old days this garbage would have been deleted from a dicussion thread in about 3 secondsCan I ask why you feel like you have to get involved in everything? You pretend you are friends with me, Ryan., Will, Scooter etc and then you go onto Randy's board and back stab us, bad mouth us and seemingly have nothing better to do with your life than talk about what people are doing on American. I just don't understand it. Perhaps a public explanation here would help clarify why you do all of this.

TauntonBlizzard2013
i dont have any real issues with the way this forum is run or how people post. I have been here almost a year now, and i have learned a lot and enjoy conversing with other people who share the passion of weather. I think the moderation is pretty fair, and taken seriously during heavy traffic times especially in the winter. If there is a winter storm coming stuff is deleted fast, and most people know the deal and keep banter in the banter thread and discussion in the discussion thread. This board seems to be busier in the winter by a substantial margin, and the moderation goes according to that. This forum is also probably the most active on the site in the summer, with still quite a few regular posters which is great. I dont see a huge issue with banter spilling over into the discussion threads especially if its weather related even if its semantics over dew points and temps. If its boring weather like today, and there is no real threat posed to anywhere in the subforum, i dont think its a big deal. I think this place steps it up in the winter when it should be, and lets things go in the summer, which is also probably how it should be. Lets face it, i dont think this place would be as fun if it was severely moderated year round. I get a good laugh at some of the exchanges that go on in here

I have an old ruler from my coop days that I like. It's broken down into tenths of inch and even puts the number above the line so you can see what it is. I wish I could find a new one but I just haven't seen one.
