moneypitmike
The seasonal march continues. We've lost 3* of sun angle since July 1. Rate is increasing as we'll lose another 2* by the end of the month. Losing 1:45 of sunlight today, increasing to 2:00+/day on Monday. Tick-tock....tick-tock.... Brian5671
100% agree! that's exactly what I'm talking about. If I go out in July I want to be able to eat outside in flip flops and shorts and not have to worry about a shall, everyone has to agree that is what summer is all about. I'm sure MPM doesn't want to have to wears a Hoodie after he gets out of his pool in July..... Same thing in winter, I want snow but I also want the arctic hounds of hell to keep the snow around. Seasons as seasons. Yes we understand these things are not always possible where we live, but it won't prevent us from hoping and praying for it. You live in the wrong spot-you should summer in Orlando and winter in Caribou.
weathafella
New England has nice summers. Long stretches of heat usually stop south of a BOS-BDL line. Savor it. 6 months from now sleep will be lacking as a stormy winter ahead seems to be in the cards.

Remember back on Eastern when you rooted for below normal temperatures and low dew points in summer? Then you decided to go all extreme all the time and have put on this ruse of loving hot weather just to get under people's skin. Why don't you create your own thread for fantasy high heat and humidity talk and try to keep your posts there and out of the other threads. There's nothing wrong with discussing that on a wx board. That's what it's here for. And we can discuss them in the summertime threads. This one dimensional board is ad nauseum tiring Snow/cold..snow cold is great in the winter..But in the summer folks enjoy discussing other things besides how next winter is going to be

To each their own What does this even mean? That I only try to forecast realistic weather and not wishcast? If that is what it means, then I'll take it as a compliment. Look, I never said people should like a certain type of weather....we all like different stuff...just that wishcasting for it all the time or putting a "spin" on it all the time can become quite detached from the reality of meteorology. Do you remember a time when we would weenie-tag people for wishcasting? Seems like a long time ago. We still have a banter thread for people to post in, but it is curiously under-utilized by the same people who complain about moderaters ganging up on individuals for posting nonesense: http://www.americanwx.com/bb/index.php/topic/43657-late-spring-and-summer-banter-thread/page-7? Those that don't know me and are making assumptions and talking badly about me and others on here and on another board, I ask that you please stop. this is a weather board. Damage In Tolland
I think if people would just let me post and not respond to my posts or feel threatened or irritated..
