Mixed feeling, Here in Princeton we should have a half decent pool afternoon after getting rocked by last nights convection with a serious deluge. But it would be fun getting the blow with rain up in Boston.

Jerry I don't think you're missing much. I think somewhere close by sees a tremendous amount of rainfall though.

Nothing like a July 4th Nor-easter....

yeah yea yea.. whateva.   But rad right now, at 7:36 pm mimicks the final inning of a winter storm, where the ULL/caa backside instability hits the summits of the Berks with squalls, and the deal just about done in the E as the storm starts to pivot away.

Exactly what it feels like (except for the temps).  I've got breaks in the clouds post rainbow with waves of mist coming and going.  Just like many a winter storm just E of the Berks.

Some nice orographic clouds over Mt. Greylock after the rains pulled away. This will commonly happen with a NW wind on the backside of a departing storm. The Hoosac Valley was mostly clear, but the clouds were hanging tight over the mountain. If it were winter, they'd probably be producing some upslope flurries and snow showers.

Nothing like some good upslope.

I remember from when I was a kid.  My dad was a captain in the Coast Guard and his good friend was an Academy classmate who was an admiral and avid bicyclist.  I think it was the morning after hurricane Belle went by, the Admiral was riding by our house and stopped to chat with my Dad.

I remember him saying "the most beautiful days are those that follow a hurricane".  Sitting outside now, all I can think is how right he was (outside of raging blizzards, of course).

Looks like the entire week is warm and humid as front gets hung up and doesn't come thru till Thurs nite/ early Fri

Looks like Tuesday through Thursday to me, but we're splitting hairs on what we call a week I guess.  The stretch after that looks pretty decent as we enter the climo max.  It's been a pretty warm/humid start to the month but we're still getting gems of days on weekends!
