JSantanaNYC
How does a 83-84 degree day feel like spring? That's a summer day and it might even be a little above average. You know more than that.. we all know today was in the 80s.. but the dew points is what makes it feel so comfortable

tmagan
You can see the wind shift line via KOKX radar and also the rain at the very edge of the radar range over the Atlantic courtesy of it being a coastal radar.

SnoSki14
Looks like most places will finish July just below normal given they are already around 0 for the month and these last few days should produce some high quality negative departures.

Sundog
You know when LGA gets down to the mid 60s that it's a legitimate cooldown. I went for a 3 mile walk. It was perfect out.
jm1220
It was 47 last night in Bradford and 45 in Saranac Lake. You expect some colder nights there in the summer sometimes but that's way below normal even for them.
Isotherm
Since November 2013, every month has been colder than normal at NYC except for May and June. Pretty impressive reversal from the seemingly eternal stretch of positive departure months from 2010-2013.

Actually it is not uncommon for Saranac Lake to record a couple of lows in the 30's in July and happens almost ever July. Average low for Saranac Lake on July 29th is 51, so 45 isn't that impressive in overall terms.

Isotherm
Definitely does look like smoke to me. Sunny with a milky white backdrop. Last time I remember a smoke filled sky was my trip to Newport RI back in August of 2003 from the Canadian fires.
