Big time winds with this squall line here during the past 15 minutes as it passed by my location near Easton, PA. Multiple gusts to 35 MPH. Do not be fooled by the radar presentation at this time.  No lightning / hail. Just a lot of wind. There will be a lot of power outages tonight across NJ as this sweeps through. 81 / 71

MORRIS COUNTY IN NORTHERN NEW JERSEY...

SUSSEX COUNTY IN NORTHWEST NEW JERSEY...

MIDDLESEX COUNTY IN NORTHERN NEW JERSEY...

* AT 851 PM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A

LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS IN EASTERN PENNSYLVANIA JUST WEST OF

THE DELAWARE RIVER MOVING EAST AT AROUND 40 MPH. THIS LINE OF

THUNDERSTORMS HAS A HISTORY OR PRODUCING WIND GUSTS BETWEEN 55 AND

65 MPH RESULTING IN DOWNED TREES AND POWER OUTAGES. THIS LINE WILL

BE MOVING THROUGH WESTERN AND CENTRAL NEW JERSEY DURING THE LATE

EVENING HOURS.

THESE ARE DANGEROUS STORMS. IF YOU ARE IN THEIR PATH...MOVE INDOORS TO

ENVIRONMENT IN ADVANCE OF THE LINE OF TSTMS REMAINS SUFFICIENTLY

yup, it now includes the 5 boros. Interesting that they put Nassau (where I live) in the watch area. I doubt they will issue a warning here.

9:44p: Please be aware we issued the warning over NYC and NE NJ due to strong winds with a gust front. The actual thunderstorm may have weakened and you wont see much rainfall, but there is significant wind still occurring. Damage is still being reported just outside our area along the gust front.
