calculus1
Picked up a nice 0.30 inch of rain under a stationary shower around 3 PM. Just finished watching the WC final. Congrats to Germany. An incredible goal in extra time for Goetze. Tough loss for Messi and Argentina. An overall very enjoyable WC.

metalicwx366
Pretty sure this is the driest July ever so far. 0.02 for the month so far in our wettest month. If it doesn't rain Tuesday or Wednesday, then it's probably never going to rain again.

metalicwx366
97 and sunny. Kudos to the NWS for taking the rain out of the forecast for today and Thursday and decreasing chances the other days. Once again, NE FL is getting all the storms. The rich just keep getting richer.

calculus1
Only 91.5 F today. Plus, I got a bonus 0.28 inch of rain from a pop-up shower between 2:00 and 2:30 PM. Has the tide swung here in the Hickory area? Two days in a row of decent rainfall adds up to 0.58 inch.

jburns
Looks like I got WAYCROSSED today! .70" to the west, .40" just to the east, and we got .05". Except you have electricity, paved streets and indoor plumbing. It's still a muggy 81 here at almost 10pm. Ugh.
Wow
Got up to 96.1 here... stormy for a little bit at 4:30 but very little rain.. didn't register in the rain gauge. 0.38" for the month so far. Currently 81.9... heat index of 86.6. Ugh.
dsaur
So this is what I've been doing wrong? Nice! MBY received a cool breeze from the outflow of a little cell that dumped some sprinkles near the river No, my dear, I believe this behavior will be beneficial to you and your neighbors, rather than you getting what I got, lol. Well packed beauty vs overflowing age I say maybe you weren't dancing fast enough...maybe.... not nekked enough.....? Oh, this should way work for you. Heck, I got a tenth the next day, then 2 tenths the day after. 3 days with rain in a row, after way more than 30 in a row without more that just drops. I think maybe my exuberance just sort of startled that first cloud, is all Or maybe I shamed the moles...either way a big win, and a smallish manner. metalicwx366
88 already and dry. Eww, NWS Jacksonville used Polar Vortex. If it doesn't rain today, then it will never rain. HRRR lighting up the area with storms. They should continue well overnight too. THIS EVENING IS WHEN IT GETS MORE INTERESTING AS THE...WELL ADVERTISED POLAR VORTEX...DROPS SOUTHWARD IT IS PUSHING A PRETTY IMPRESSIVE SUMMERTIME COLD FRONT AHEAD OF IT. EXPECT PREFRONTAL CONVECTION TO FIRE ACROSS SOUTHEAST GEORGIA LATE THIS AFTERNOON AND CONTINUE WELL INTO THE EVENING AND OVERNIGHT HOURS
sparklecity
HRRR looking pretty dry around my area which isn't surpising as both the NAM and GFS have had a precip hole over the upstate and ne georgia for the past couple days. Nonetheless GSP has bumped up our pops to 70%...we'll see....

jshetley
The same story for the GSP and Anderson area though . Another 70% chance of rain here is gone with only 1 or 2 storms over the entire upstate. Drought is coming on here bigtime.
