Solak
Interesting satellite image today - dual upper lows spinning over the SE. (time sensitive) http://www.ssd.noaa.gov/goes/east/se/mflash-vis.html
Cold Rain
Yeah Solak, that's cool! The left one is retrograding. I wish there was a convergence axis or something to give us some heavy rain. The atmosphere is loaded!
superjames1992
I recall News 14's in-house model showed ~4" of rain here over the last few days as of this weekend. Total so far: 0.10".

Solak
.10" today from a 2 hour shower that literally went around us. The heaviest rain started up in Smithfield, dipped just to the South of here, then lifted back to the N towards Clayton and Garner. We were just inside the fringe the whole time. Sounds nice man nice and dark Yeah, it looks like you're located near a weak convergence zone, maybe. Spotty small showers/storms are forming in a west-east line through the Fayetteville area and moving east. Farther north, nothing but patchy clouds. superjames1992
The airport reported 0.01" yesterday, but I don't think it rained at all here. 0.07" the day before.
calculus1
Well, the heavens have opened and are spewing forth torrential amounts of rainfall right now IMBY. Amazing! I just equaled all the rain since last Thursday in a 5-10 minute span. The radar looks pretty stationary too right now. Could be a lot more to come in the next little while. sparklecity
Another dry fropa! Currently 90 Pops got bumped to 70% which seems pretty high looking at the current radar. It doesn't look impressive at all for the upstate.

I have absolutely no clue what GSP sees to give us 90% chance of rain tonight. That kind of coverage is simply not happening. This will one of many busted storm forecasts they have made this year. This will one of many busted storm forecasts they have made this year. I swear to god, the only times I've gotten any rain, or at least any rain of note, the last 4 or 5 months has been when the rain chances were really low or virtually non existent. When there is a good or high chance, I've got nothing..over and over. So i'm looking forward to the lower chances coming up..maybe then I'll get something

metalicwx366
Of course we only get 0.02 with the most rain falling around the surrounding areas. 0.23 for the month.
mackerel_sky
84 and bone dry! Shocking, I know! I guess 1.5 inches of rain every 30 days is going to have to suffice. Looks like NW flow sucks as much in the summer as it does in winter!
