Cypress vines grew a foot last night. (Humming Bird Vines.) Edit: Mack, takes photos of your catches! Whatever it might be.

Solak
Doesn't there have to be convection first??? From RAH discussion... SCATTERED CONVECTION THIS EVENING WILL DIMINISH...ESPECIALLY IN THE EAST...WITH THE LOSS OF INSOLATION. currently 95/103 with a hot sunny breeze. cbmclean
The eastern half of central NC looks to get kind of screwed as far as precip from the Arthur event goes. It has been some time since we had a really good rainy day here in Wilson.
Dunkman
I observed that it was freaking hot today. I think officially we topped out at 94...the hottest day all of last year was 92. I cannot wait for the fantastic weather we have coming for the weekend.
sparklecity
Had likely pops to start the day but only one storm is even on the radar. We got the tropical system we wanted but also got the subsidence we didn't. This is the summer of fail!
Solak
Looking at radar just now, it appears that the pre-frontal band of precip ahead of the cold front is being forced back to the West as Arthur approaches. Looks like we (KJNX area) may actually get rain from the 'cane before we get anything from the front. One band appears to be pushing up this way.
