mreaves
We were sort of the breeding ground yesterday afternoon for the storms that got their act together and rolled across NH. Lots of thunder but not much in the way of wind and only 0.50" of rain. Murky & slow today--darn hurricane slowing everything down. Really could use some clearing, drying and a nice fresh wind around here. Damp & rotty rules the day thus far. I was sort of thinking the same thing. I kept thinking that something bigger was going to pop and all it ended up as was a a nice rain with some rumbling and a few flashes. It will be nice to clear this awful airmass out. MarkO
Exactly 1.00" yesterday, currently at 0.17" for the day. Skies are brightening, but it appears I'm going to be riding the line all day. Hopefully skies clear up enough tonight and I can fire off the shells I picked up on the ride up yesterday. 68.0/
powderfreak
64/58 at 12:30pm feels soooo good. Wow. Lots of rain, haven't emptied the gauge, but its over 1" from yesterday and last night. MVL came in with 1.39" in the last 24 hours...2.29" in last 48 hours.
eekuasepinniW
What a tediously boring rain... this 25-30dbz stuff isn't even enough to register a rain rate on the VP2. Pretty odd given this line from the AFD: "Rain within this area may be more intense than it appears on radar as warm rain processes occur lower in the atmosphere"
dendrite
Not a good night for fireworks with low 60s, wind, and rain. Max today was only 69.6F...down to 63.5F now. As usual, the NAM blew a 6-12hr forecast pretty badly.

wxeyeNH
What would cause such a big waterspout on Lake Winni today? Water temp is around 70F, close to air temp. No thunderstorms and the winds were very weak.
eekuasepinniW
This was from Governors Island, which means I could have probably seen it from here. I'm butthurt. video http://instagram.com/p/qDD8VIK4Qn/
mreaves
Turned out to be a beautiful night. Played glow ball golf. Clouds started clearing out and we even got the half moon for the last couple of holes. Much more comfortable air for sleeping tonight.

mreaves
Did a little tour of NNE today. My wife and son are spending the week in Old Orchard Beach with her family so I drove over this morning. Turned out to be a nice day for it. The ride back this evening was absolutely gorgeous. Driving into the setting sun, must have seen parts of 7 or 8 fireworks shows. Long day of driving but i enjoyed it.

Little breezy on the beach with rip currents i presume, I would have sat on the deck at the Brunswick and had a couple of beverages and enjoy some of the talent............. Yeah the currents were strong but the wind did die down some later in the afternoon. Did stop by the Brunswick for a minute to see my brother and sister in law who were there having a drink. My 10 year old kept me pretty busy at the arcade and on the beach so not much time to hang at the bar. However there was some talent out and about. Did go through several rolls of quarters though.
