(>6400 J/kg SB CAPE!) The net result is a fairly comparable EHI. Deep-layer steering flow actually fairly strong out of the west. One would expect the present cell to be moving along more to the east given that environment, but it seems to be back-building along the axis of greatest CAPE, with stronger CIN further south capping anything that would disrupt its inflow.
