The cell I was on west of Channing had a TVS and got warned but it could never quite do it.  Toward the end it got rain wrapped but I still don't think anything got down.  All in all a fun day.  Staying in Amarillo tonight so hopefully I can chase closer to home in NM tomorrow and then just head back to Santa Fe.

Has anyone heard of any damage around Clovis?  I noticed an LSR with a report of a tornado 2 mi N of Llano Escatado Blvd., and I know that's getting close to town.

From Reed Timmers Facebook.

"Oh my god! Check out this security camera footage from a tornado near Batesville, AR earlier today. INSANE!"

Yet another awesome video from AR (and security cam/webcam), just like the derecho one I posted pages back. The best footage so far this year has originated from AR, MS, and ND.

Wow seeing the tight circulation dancing down the parking lot is surreal. This is one of the best videos I've ever seen imo

Its like traveling down the road and then decides to turn into the yard! Its almost like a cartoon depiction of movement for a tornado. Its not even close to the best as far as tornado videos in my view, but cracks the upper top 10 for security/webcam/towercam tornado footage IMO.

Phenomenal write up of the insane hail/wind storm that hit Norfolk, Uehling, and Blair, NE the hardest. Pictures are surreal and a lot of data provided.

The large dent on the red truck makes me think it was hit by a hailstones at least softball or grapefruit sized. I don't see pock marks to indicate that one spot was hit multiple times.

SHAVE was on it.  They observed a few 5-inch stones.

  • 3 weeks later...

About a month later, but finally got everything in order and posted from the June 3rd chase...

Ended up on the Ord-Lincoln/Wahoo, NE tor warned supercell. Sat in the bears cage most of the time, as we stair-stepped southeast with the storm. Had several bouts of severe hail and gustnadoes.
