Look at this crap. Might as well take out the chance of rain for the next 10 days.

The storms lasted forever then fell apart and reformed to the east leaving us high and dry. We only got wind. We missed out on 1-2 inches of rain.

as they say over in homerville... " DOH"

:lmao:

Watch the storms explode along the outflow boundary as it moves to the north. So crazy how the exact same areas get hammered every day. Hell, Central GA had a huge complex of storms for this morning, 1-4 inches fell, and now more storms are firing there.

7 inches of rain near Savannah with that storm. That's crazy. They will probably get double that amount tomorrow.

This is more frustrating than the first four days of July last year with the big wet.

The Savannah airport (~10 miles NW of Savannah, itself) got an incredible 6.65" of rain late this afternoon into the early evening!! That makes today the wettest June day on record for the official SAV station. However, this isn't the wettest June day on record in the city, itself. That undoubtedly belongs to 6/29/99, when ~11" fell within just 12 hours, causing really bad flooding in many areas. I was in Savannah then and saw it firsthand. We got off lucky as only a part of our garage got some floodwater in it. Today, the city got ~1-3" but nothing like today at the airport or 6/29/99 in the city. (I was in Dunwoody, today.)
