Sea breeze has pushed thru here with a wind shift to se and temp drop to 79 from 82...we'll see how storms respond as they move east.

There might be some remnant showers and a rumble of thunder for the coast but it's highly unlikely that significant T-storm activity makes it past where the seabreeze pushed through.

* UNTIL 530 PM EDT

* AT 424 PM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A
  LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS. THESE SEVERE STORMS EXTENDED FROM
  PELLETTOWN TO MOUNT ARLINGTON TO SUCCASUNNA TO MENDHAM TO FAR HILLS
  TO CLOVERHILL...MOVING NORTHEAST AT 30 MPH. THESE STORMS ARE
  CAPABLE OF PRODUCING DAMAGING WINDS TO 60 MPH. A SKYWARN SPOTTER
  IN CHESTER IN MORRIS COUNTY ESTIMATED WIND GUSTS OF AT LEAST
  50 MPH.

VERY HEAVY RAIN WILL ALSO OCCUR WITH THIS LINE OF SEVERE
THUNDERSTORMS...WHICH COULD FLOOD LOW LYING AREAS QUICKLY AND COVER

Radar estimates agree. The flash flood warning states that the storms will produce 1-3" of rain locally.

CONTINUOUS CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING IS ALSO OCCURRING WITH THESE
STORMS. MOVE INDOORS IMMEDIATELY! LIGHTNING IS ONE OF NATURES NUMBER
ONE KILLERS. REMEMBER...IF YOU CAN HEAR THUNDER...YOU ARE CLOSE
