This seems to be a pa, snj and nj spring for rain. Im going to have to water the lawn this weekend.

You think? Trust me you don't want our weather out here the landscape is becoming a swamp after two years of endless deluge. I don't know what watering is anymore

Yup, the area looks primed

One limiting factor could be that the storm motion should be fast enough that flash flooding would be limited to where training occurs.

atmosphere is saturated with that east flow and this continuous drizzle just need a trigger wouldn't be surprised if flooding and watches/localized warnings  becomes an issue tomorrow you should consider creating another thread for this possibility and the possibility of severe storms being in the mix

We just experienced one of the more impressive severe thunderstorms that I have seen in 40 years of weather watching.  It was all about the CTG lightning.  We actually lost power about 20 minutes ago so I am accessing the internet through my hotspot.  I am guessing about 5 - 10 hits within 2 - 4 miles of my location.  Very impressive display of CTG lightning.  I actually tried to record it on my phone however I was not able to capture any strikes.  In any case some really vivid lightning during the past hour here
