IsentropicLift
LOL at the 12z GFS for next week. Tracks the tropical system out of the gulf, across southern FL then up the mid-atlantic coast before stalling as the mid-west energy attempts to capture it leaving it sitting and spinning for like six days and dumping the whole time. Going to go out on a limb and say nothing remotely close to that will happen. Have to love models in the longer range with these wacky ideas and convective feedback. Likely not but you have to love the persistence of the GFS to repeatedly track a tropical system from the Gulf to somewhere up the east coast. It has been on every run now for what seems like a week. Brian5671
It's pretty much gone as planned here. 80 to low 80s inland..near 70 at the shore. Those winds more S and SW with 570 thicknesses will do the trick out your way. more so down here and NYC and NJ where some spots are in the upper 80's. ORH_wxman
What a beauty today is around Boston! The last 24 hours have really been the first time all season it has felt like true summer...finally getting some 80F temps. Nice that the dews havent been high either, though today they are a tad marginal near 60F.

moneypitmike
Added leaf mulch to the rose gardens at the public garden downtown yesterday. We have the contract for the friends of the public garden. Looks good--and congrats on the contract. Good stuff! Was 87 on the car therm. in Greenfield about an hour or so ago, 80 when I got back home. Now, 81.7 on the Davis. First day of the season with the pool-side office. It's not so bad.

It looks like a classic MCV type feature that's all heavy rain, driven from strong low level convergence.
weatherwiz
A couple of those cells in NY have actually developed decent, albeit short -lived cores.

Ginx snewx
And those castles made of sand.....At my mom in laws nursing home they erected this. Pretty cool place with a 50s diner inside and a 50s theme hallway.Sad but they do a great job. We are out in the garden having root beer floats with the ladies, nice and warm. CoastalWx
A tad more muggy today. Has that classic ocean wind humid feel....those that live near the water know what I mean. It's warm here with an ESE wind, might not feel the same on easterly exposed beaches.
moneypitmike
How fast is that line in NYS advancing? I might get to experience it two or three times....one here, two after I leave for a work trip to Maine, and three when I'm in Maine.

It'll probably be plain old rain when it reaches Maine - maybe a rumble in York Cty.
Mr. Windcredible!
lot of busted temp forecasts today....over performing warmth. I mention it once in awhile...both in winter and summer...that Upton often overestimates the influence of LIS west of the CT river. Water temps were up to 69 as of last week...being under full sun easily overcomes any ocean influence one you get away from the immediate shore. Not surprised we maxed out 5-7 degrees warmer than forecasted here.
