CapturedNature
Love the boring June weather, more please. Me too. I'd rather have this "boring" stuff now so I can get stuff down outside and just not worry about heating and cooling. We're periodically getting the rains that we need and it's not usually a time of year when anything big can happen. I'll leave that till August and September. Even the bugs that pretty omnipresent just a few weeks ago have tapered off. I can actually work in the woods.
amarshall
If we could get these temps and cool sleeping weather 365 days a year, I would denounce winter for all time. The church of low dews.

weathafella
Boring is good. Plenty of time to build a war chest of good will with spouses and family members that will be needed in winter.
tamarack
Great three day stretch for second half of June. Friday...66/43 Saturday...67/39 Sunday...76/47 Very similar at my place: Fri....63/45 Sat...69/40 Sun..72/43 (Aft was m.cloudy, cutting off the heat.) Mon...Low was mid-upper 40s. June avg -0.5 thru yesterday, though PWM/BGR/CAR are AN, by 0.5 to 2F. CON is right about on their avg, and all four stations continue BN for CDDs. Missed it this morning. I was dead even at 50° this morning. I'm running -2F for the month and only have 25 out of my average of 77 CDD's. I was looking at the seasonal numbers with July 1 coming up and this past season I've had my highest HDD total in past 30 seasons with 7,651. CDD wise it's below average but nothing to right home about. The high dew stretch Just really added up!

My avg thru the end of June is a modest 42, lowest was a mere 7 (5 in June) in rain-whipped 2009. Should top that this year, but the 14 CDD thru 6/30 of 2004 might be in play. As for HDD, your post had me checking my numbers, and I realized this season had passed 2002-03 for tops of my 16 years here, 9,427 (and counting) vs 9,412. Avg is 8,607 and 2011-12 had only 7,758. I have a friend visiting Wed/Thu and he was asking my thoughts on the weather. Basically told him I'm getting optimistic Wednesday could turn out decent. dendrite
Hopefully the ecens are right and we pop that ridge back out west as we start out July. It'll be hot to start next week though before that.
