CapturedNature
Mmmm... sheet drizzle. Lush, lush plant growth this week. A bit dreary but I'd rather the sun be limited with these dew points. My wife says that we live in a temperate rain forest. Things green up so fast. If you don't tend to things in this kind of regime your yard can grow over in no time. This weekend can't get here soon enough to clear out some of this.

Last summer around here was very much like living in a temperate rain forest and these past few days have been reminicent of last year. The vegetation right now is incredibly lush--almost a little too much so. Definitely ready to clear this stuff out...!
powderfreak
Around 1.6" of rainfall in the past 48 hours, with 1.25" last 24 hours. Damp. And judging by radar, a bunch more is on the way. That is some incredibly heavy rain in the Catskills and ALB CWA working it's way N/NW.

scoob40
Who's going to start the 79 days until Sep 1st thread? In terms of fairness some are still waiting for the first "countdown to April 1st thread" to appear in these spaces. Methinks that could be a futile wait. dendrite
I think September might be even more boring than summer here...unless we get a rogue 'cane. It's boring, but at least the step down begins to increase. A solid cP airmass is more exciting to me than weeks of 70s/50s.

moneypitmike
Ferns are lovin' it. fern.jpg Nice shot. I had always mowed a path along our property line to walk along. Because of the addition of our dog, I've now had to mow one on the other side of the wall as well. It's better than walking through 2000' of above-the-knee grass. 59.3/59 1.08" since yesterday
