Probably would help to get the deer tics off of them

Moose ticks - different and much larger (1/2" across when blood-filled) critter, and some moose have had 40,000 plus on them. DIFW collared about 100 moose last fall, and 60% of calves died, mostly due to tick feeding and resulting weakness.

Action stayed 5-10 miles north of my place (so far, and I think #2 will also stay north.) Lots of rumbles, hardly a breath of wind, maybe 0.05" rain, though Doppler points to 2"+ in West Farmington. That radar shot has the brightest colors I've seen since the treekiller hailstorm of August 2007.

Saw one dead last year up against a fence, He had rubbed himself raw and bled out

Decent rotation with that Farmington--Skowhegan cell... Cell of the day so far imo.

Good conditions... if it was more isolated, could have developed into a much more significant tornadic storm.

One behind it just got a new tor

Some louder banging and light airs, little rain. Low clouds are racing from SE to NW while the cells are tracking SW to NE. Never have noted that before - is the whole cell rotating?

I suspect the stuff going SE to NW is inflow feeding into the storm. Whole cells/updrafts do occasionally visually rotate, but rarely, and very unlikely in a setup like this.

Very much so. Maybe not as robust as before, but definitely a supercell.

Low clouds now running the same direction as cell travel. Radar shows 45 dbz pixel overhead, but that's a pixel-wide average and we're at its south edge, so little/no rain or wind, and now almost no rumbling.

lol at the above post, as New Sharon lies right between Farmington and Mercer. Somehow, both those towns got some action while the monkey in the middle got meh (and much excitement from the 6 PM news.)
