Damage In Tolland
The environment tonight looks like it may sustain these things far to the east. May not be the quick collapse east if ORH we usually see

weatherwiz
Those are probably the lowest probs I've ever seen on a SVR watch...almost looks like it was issued for the possibility of a TOR
TalcottWx
The environment tonight looks like it may sustain these things far to the east. May not be the quick collapse east if ORH we usually see Wish there was cold air coming in aloft and more instability around. Lapse rates are meh too. I think west of Hartford and Springfield (close to the watch area) are the limits of severe... Maybe an isolated report(s) past that? S wind through hudson valley has to be the source of area storm(s) strength.
Damage In Tolland
how so?Primarily the increasing low level jet. Quite often when we see the llj crank up we see elevated convection well into the night.

weatherwiz
Anyone see the rotation on that storm in cT. Pretty tight It's still broad but has been a bit interesting at times. Hasn't tightened up to that point yet although it has tried...see if it does when it hits the valley

ct_yankee
Anyone see the rotation on that storm in cT. Pretty tight That storm is close to gusting out, tops are collapsing... But yeah, it is still spinning, for now. Now, the smaller westernmost cell has some tight rotation. Edit: looks like the western cell bit the dust. Doesn't bode well for that whole line, in terms of discrete supercell activity.
weatherwiz
That cell has become outflow dominant so any threat for a TOR is probably gone...have to watch stuff behind it though

chietanen
Storm heading into my area was tornado warned earlier in Sullivan and Ulster County. Looks like some weak rotation still, but just severe warned now. Almost constant thunder here.

weatherwiz
Storms are fizzling quickly once they reach the Litchfield Hills. Instability virtually nil past Litchfield/Fairfiled counties
Juliancolton
That has some pretty decent wind velocities in it...def producing strong winds Just "chased" it, vigorous low-level rotation could be seen with tons of scud and even a well-defined inflow tail. Rain shaft appeared to be spinning counterclockwise all the way to the ground, and winds picked up to about 40 mph as that feature passed about 1/3 mile to my north. Probably nothing extraordinary and I could see no evidence of a tornado or anything, but about as impressive a meso as I'll see around here. CoastalWx
I don't anticipate anything tonight. Might have to watch near pike and into CT near noon and just after tomorrow as a WF type feature and theta e push sets up for possible shwrs and tstms. Could be heavy rain and perhaps some rotation in a few cells.
