Typhoon Tip
Nice MCS getting aroused in southern Ontario ... poised to curl inevitably SE through NYS to save us the plight of that entertainment. We'll get plenty of anvil and light rain though - ha
Typhoon Tip
Forecast for CT: Warm and moderately humid this evening, with the feel of good nocturnal thunderstorms, then, distant lightning never quite makes it there. Light rain for time around 3am. Low in the mid 60s.
Typhoon Tip
Looks to me like it could still be up around or even exceed 80 in the lower els after this mid week boundary. Despite that look aloft, it's not toting along much chill.

Professional Lurker
When you drive through the hill towns N of Greenfield in NW MA and all through SE VT you see tower sirens along the roads. They ain't for tornadoes unfortunately. got one about 1/4 mile from my house. The monthly treats are LOUD, checking the board to see if I get to see a light show tonight. icebreaker5221
Check out that 50kt westerly jet at 5 km on the Albany VAD. Plenty of strong winds to mix to the surface in any downdrafts.
weatherwiz
even been some embedded borad rotation within the line given high helicity values which has probably enhanced damaging wind threat within the line

Professional Lurker
Maybe it's just me, but the line doesn't appear to be as healthy as it was even 1/2 hour ago. Oh well, better than nothing, I suppose.
powderfreak
Just some rain (moderate to briefly heavy) up this way with the line...a couple flashes and booms but nothing overly close. Hopefully it stays together for you guys down south.

Professional Lurker
Meh. I shut off my lights and am sitting in the dark by the window (typical night storm mode), and I'm more intrigued by the firefly who somehow managed to get in out of the rain and is blinking all around my living room.
