wisconsinwx
I'm surprised Midway is still at 84/71, disgusting. I think Alek would agree, worst climo this week.
Stebo
I'm gonna scream if we max out at 89 again tomorrow. I didn't know you allowed Powerball to post from your account
cyclone77
Still 79/70 here after midnight. Not as breezy as it was last night, so it's a little more uncomfortable out there. Still hard to tell, but it looks like the storms may stay north of here tonight. Complex is still in it's infancy though well to the northwest. daddylonglegs
Dew point jumped to 72F early this morning, which is the highest i've seen yet here..but has dropped back down to the mid 60Fs. Huge amts of rain north of here. I saw one report of 4.72 inches... under half inch here, so we got lucky. Had 1.5 yesterday... could be much worse. 80Fs again here today. Its nice in that it hasn't be horrid yet, but still warm enough to swim/etc.
michsnowfreak
After sitting at just 0.58" on the month, I picked up 1.63" of rain overnight. The thunder even woke me up!

wisconsinwx
Still think we make 90 today? I won't be surprised if we don't. I think you'll miss it by a couple degrees. Too close to the cloud debris and leftover convection.

Hoosier
Me either. Depends on the clouds. Yeah, our chances over the next few days will be dictated by clouds/convection and beyond that, there's really no days in the extended that look like a slam dunk 90. wisconsinwx
I see Springfield is 91/75 for a HI of over 100F. Yuck, if they are not too capped off maybe they see some explosive t'storm development tonight.

wisconsinwx
Going out DTW style with those 89*F highs... I wouldn't mind if we had a half dozen of those puppies to avoid the big 9-0 number this summer. I think our highest this year is still 86F, and with a ton of moisture just in with the storms the last couple days, and the extended looking seasonable, very likely we'll go through June without a 90F reading for the second straight year. cyclone77
Dews have dropped back to 67 as winds have turned northeast. Now looking like a miss to the north for the 3rd night in a row. This stretch of active weather has been a big fail up to this point. I guess we'll try again tomorrow night.

I'm just the opposite. A bunch of 89s without a 90 just feels cheap. If it's gonna be hot, might as well have it stand out in the stats.

That's understandable since you enjoy the heat (without being a warminista of course).

Hoosier
Was looking up first occurrences of 90 degrees at LAF and this is already the longest we've gone without one since 2003, when it took until June 24 to get the first one. If we make it past June 24 then you'd have to go back to 2000 (August 15).
daddylonglegs
rain rain go away... ac wet day overall..had some dry hours..a shot of sunshine..now probably falling the heaviest. rain totals here over the last few days must be around 2.5 inches or so locally...although amts vary hugely across the region. Chicago WX
Storms so close to here right now, you can smell 'em...but a close whiff nonetheless. Alas, areas just to the north of LAF should pick up some good rainfall totals...and a good t&l show.
