LOL. Only 0.16" rain today for a two day total of 0.17" imby. DTW had 0.80" today. Everything has danced around me. Id be so mad if this was winter.

I reviewed the radar images for today and noticed you were on the edge of most of the convection (most of it tracked within a 10 mile radius of a line from DTW to DET). laugh.png

Oh well, you can't win them all. That's their nature.

Flint has hit 90° once this month so far. I remember DTX put up a post about it. Otherwise, it seems like most of the month has been highs of 75-85° for the most part, at least in Flint. As of now, we're a smidgent under normal on rainfall, but had a lot of near-misses on heavy rainfall that soaked other areas, especially to the south.

Our lowest temp this month was 42°.

Lima is on the path to a larger June +departure than 2012(+2.0). I could see it up around 3 by months end. Crazy Crazy.

That's pretty impressive as I'd bet that the common perception would be that June 2012 was warmer.  Obviously June 2014 is incomplete but just comparing Lima's numbers from 2012 and this year in a couple of categories:

# of 90+ degree days:

2012:  11 (including one day of 105F)

2014:  2

# of nights with a low less than 60 degrees:

2012:  15

2014:  10

Max/min/avg temps for Lima through 6/25 for 2012 and 2014.

June 2012: 83.7....59.2....71.5

June 2014: 81.2....62.0....71.6

Projecting the rest of this month, final mean avg temps should end up close. A +3 departure, or "close to it" has 0.1% chance. Of course the ways each got there will be different.

June 2012: 72.2 +2.0

June 2014: 72.4 +2.2

After a bit of sun around midday, low clouds have slid back into the Racine area. Fog was pretty nasty this morning, but more or less just inland from the lake.

Cool shot of the fog at 18:35 GMT yesterday.

Even out here west of the lakes got to get to experience some summer fog here earlier today.  Burned off by mid morning but left a haze that lingered most of the day.  Had a few pulse cells wallow through the area in the late afternoon/early eve.  Got a good downpour here that dumped 0.68".  Now up to 6.69" for the month.

The very locally wasn't that bad, but across the border it was. Difference this morning was I could see the sun a little bit above the low lying fog.

Yeah impressive stretch of days with fog in a row! I think all this started around the 19th or 20th.

Rain rain rain....  flooding will continue.  MSP suppose to get hammered with a few more inches which all flows this way.   River has been at or near flood stage since April 1st.

Warm days coming up with very warm nite temps (low 70Fs)...next week looks like a reprieve from the humidity with mid 70Fs.
