Cold Rain
What a nice rain event. Well done. And it looks like most of the heavy rain fell outside the flood watch....again.
Solak
3.23" total. Still surprised that we didn't have any lightning or thunder with any of the storms. Glad that there isn't a blowing NW gale with the frontal passage; there would be lots of trees going down, I bet. The Nuese in Smithfield is supposed to crest at 19.91' tomorrow - flood stage is 15'. That would be the 2nd highest I've seen it in the 9 years I've lived here. it got to 22.95' in 2006, and 18.45' in 2010. Normal flow is between 4 & 5 feet. Solak
The station in Garner that came in with 7.89" seems a little suspect, based on surrounding sites.
yotaman
We ended up with .96 inches for this event. Not too bad. We missed out on the torrential downpours that most of y'all got.
