And yes, its nearly a year later than I would have gotten it done in the past.  But, that's the past.  So, be happy if I have the next round done... by this time next year ;)

As usual, excellent work Ray. You have your work cut out for you for 2013-2014.

  • 1 year later...

Ray just book marked the site wow lots and lots of useful information.... Love it goes all the way back.... thinking of the winter's of 1993 and 1996 I think we are set for an extreme winter!!

Reasons:

1. El Nino

2. The ever warmer waters also to Alaska which has now been there going on three years with NOTHING cooling it off.  I think this promotes a ridge in the west to Alaska promoting a large trough in the East.

an Unknown:

1. The State of the NAO... IF the NAO is predominately negative this could be a WOW winter!!

Thanks guys.  I am really, seriously gonna try to get back to the site... by this winter.  I've had a rather long hiatus from it.  Now that I'm back east it should be easier to focus on it.

now that you are an MA'er... you can't go taking my snowfall map making job ;)

I thought this thread was created recently, so when I clicked the link, I was thinking, "What is he talking about, 2012-13's already been there." You got me excited bumping this thread. I've been meaning to make my map for this past winter as well.

I didn't bump it, soadforecaster did
