stormtrackertf
Pretty strong rotation several miles sw of romulus along oakville-wattz rd. Called my friends in southwest Detroit and told them to take this seriously. That's where I am and I hear the sirens going off in the distance. wisconsinwx
Looks like the severe cells will do the split here. Just very difficult to get legit severe criteria conditions in Milwaukee County itself. Of the average six to eight severe warnings every year here, maybe one actually verifies, though I guess that's not unusual when most are radar indicated. nwohweather
Tornado touchdown confirmed by a train spotter near Detroit Beach... Yeah there had to be. That couplet was pretty strong, also saw the couplet around Flat Rock strong as well

kevlon62
Svr warned but kind of a grungy mess up here - plenty of triggers from earlier laying around though. We came down from Madison behind a nice hail shaft and then as it moved on northeast a small notch formed. This was taken looking back northeast at it from vicinity Hwy M and SB I-90 (10 or so north of Janesville).

wisconsinwx
You should move. Not a bad idea. How frequently would you say on average do the severe warnings in your county verify in or very close to YBY?

wisconsinwx
move to chicago, actual city. we need a bigger city crew. Too much marine influence, and the UHI effect (ie. more annoying sticky nights) would nullify any thunderstorm advantage. Moving a bit inland (Waukesha, Lake Geneva, or West Bend) while still being close enough to the lake for some cooler summer days would be an ideal weather related move.
