blizzard1024
I know there are valid reasons for adjusting temperature but what the heck is going on here? 2014 monthly data has been seriously adjusted up. It is a hockey stick. What has changed so much this year that it needs so much adjustment upwards?? Data for new version of USHCN vs unadjusted data can be found here... ftp://ftp.ncdc.noaa.gov/pub/data/ushcn/v2.5/ushcn.tavg.latest.FLs.52i.tar.gzftp://ftp.ncdc.noaa.gov/pub/data/ushcn/v2.5/ushcn.tavg.latest.raw.tar.gz
ORH_wxman
It is likely because a good amount of data for 2014 is still not in. I have noticed that they tend to revise numbers downward as the months come out. It won't look like that by the end of the year.
